Mountaineering Boots - Made to withstand extreme weather conditions. These boots are waterproof, high cut and crampon compatible. They can be made of plastic or leather.
Trekking Boots - These boots are usually made with a mixture of tough fabric called codura and some leather such as suede. Some designs also come in Nubuck leather. Trekking boots are generally mid cut to offer good ankle support. They also come with Gore-Tex membrane to keep you feet cool and dry.
